school lunch programs
The Canfield Local Schools serve nutritious meals. The Ohio Department of Education provides free and reduced meals for families that qualify based on the guidelines provided by ODE. Applications are sent home with each student at the beginning of each school year, however, you can apply for this program at any time. If qualified, school lunches are 40 cents. School lunches at Hilltop Elementary School and CH Campbell Elementary School are $2, and $2.25 at Canfield Village Middle School and Canfield High School. Students can pay by cash or check at time of purchase, or using an online prepaid meal account. 5% of Canfield students receive free or reduced lunch. The national average is 44%.

Bus services
Bus services are provided to students at Hilltop Elementary School, CH Campbell Elementary School, and Canfield Village Middle School. These children are given a specific bus stop that may be up to a half mile from their home. Canfield does not provide transportation for students at Canfield High School. Bus services are also provided to children that attend St. Charles and St. Christine's Catholic Schools.

heALth services
The school nurse at Canfield High School is shared with Canfield Village Middle School. There is a part-time nurse that works between Hilltop Elementary School and CH Campbell Elementary school. The school nurse may give over-the-counter medication when necessary, such as Tylenol and Ibuprofen. If the nurse is not in the building, the only medication the student can receive is what the parent provides. Students are not allowed to carry any medications at school. The only exceptions are an Epi-Pen and asthma inhalers with documentation from a physician. The nurse provides all first aid and medical care necessary for the students and staff. The nurse will decide whether the student may be dismissed from school due to medical reasons. The nurse also does screenings mandated by the state, including lice examinations.
sex education
Sex education is given to all students at Canfield High School during health class. Students learn about abstinence, safe sex, birth control, STDs, and teen pregnancy.
disabled services
Special education programs include eligibility determination and services for students with disabilities ages 3 through 21. Special education is defined as specially defined instruction, at no cost to the parents, to meet the unique needs of a child with a disability, including instruction conducted in the classroom. Parents that suspect their child may have disability should contact the Canfield Special Services office or the school principal.
